Every F1 2026 Driver and Their Team

Formula 1's 2026 grid is the most manufacturer-heavy in a generation: new rules, new engines, an eleventh team, and every seat filled. Below is the complete line-up, team by team, with chassis, power unit and what each pairing is built to do.

1. McLaren: Norris and Piastri

McLaren enter 2026 as reigning constructors' champions with the sport's most complete young pairing intact. Lando Norris carries the #1 as reigning drivers' champion; Oscar Piastri remains the internal benchmark who refuses to play number two. On new-regulations Mercedes power, the MCL40 is the car every rival has to answer. Continuity of drivers plus a clean-sheet chassis is either a title defence or a target on the back.

2. Ferrari: Leclerc and Hamilton

Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton head into a second full campaign together in the SF-26. Hamilton's chase for an eighth title still frames the narrative; Leclerc remains the pure-pace reference in red. Ferrari also supplies customer power to Haas and Cadillac, which matters for how aggressively the works car can be developed under the new power-unit freeze and cost rules.

3. Red Bull Racing: Verstappen and Hadjar

Max Verstappen remains the grid's measuring stick. Beside him, Isack Hadjar steps up from Racing Bulls after Yuki Tsunoda moved into a test/reserve role. The RB22 runs the new Red Bull Ford DM01 power unit after Honda's exclusive switch to Aston Martin. Experience plus a promoted junior on brand-new hybrid hardware is the classic Red Bull bet.

4. Mercedes: Antonelli and Russell

George Russell is the experienced half of a works Mercedes that also powers McLaren, Williams and Alpine. Kimi Antonelli, still early in his Grand Prix career, is the long-term project and, mid-season form depending, a genuine championship threat on home power. The W17 has to prove the new hybrid architecture matches the brand's road-map claims.

5. Aston Martin: Alonso and Stroll

The biggest engine story after Audi and Cadillac: Honda supplies Aston Martin exclusively under HRC after ending the Red Bull era. Fernando Alonso remains the spearhead; Lance Stroll continues alongside. A true works Honda programme on a clean-sheet car is the opportunity Aston has been building toward for years.

6. Williams: Albon and Sainz

Carlos Sainz and Alexander Albon are the midfield pairing most likely to steal podiums when the new cars shuffle the order. Mercedes power, a serious technical rebuild, and two drivers who can qualify on the front of the second pack: Williams is no longer a nostalgia act.

7. Audi: Hülkenberg and Bortoleto

Audi completes the Sauber transformation as a full works entry with its own power unit. Nico Hülkenberg leads the garage after the Sauber-era breakthrough moments; Gabriel Bortoleto, the 2024 Formula 2 champion, keeps the second seat. First-year works programmes are rarely gentle, but the four rings did not enter Formula 1 to make up the numbers.

8. Alpine: Gasly and Colapinto

Alpine leaves Renault power for the first time in the hybrid era, taking Mercedes customer engines and gearboxes. Pierre Gasly is the anchor; Franco Colapinto steps into a full-season seat after his breakout appearances. Enstone becomes a pure customer racing team for 2026, which changes how aggressively it can fight the midfield.

9. Haas: Ocon and Bearman

Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman give Haas a French-British mix of experience and Ferrari-junior energy on customer Ferrari power. The VF-26 has to prove Haas can convert the new regs into consistent points rather than flash qualifying days.

10. Racing Bulls: Lawson and Lindblad

Liam Lawson leads the Faenza sister team on the same Red Bull Ford PU family as the senior squad. Arvid Lindblad, the grid's only true full-season rookie, is the long-view Red Bull investment: young enough that new regulations are an advantage, not baggage.

11. Cadillac: Pérez and Bottas

Cadillac is the first all-new team on the grid since Haas in 2016. Rather than rookies, the American project signed race winners: Sergio Pérez after Red Bull, Valtteri Bottas after Sauber/Mercedes reserve duty. Ferrari customer power for now, with a GM in-house unit planned later in the decade. More than 500 combined Grand Prix starts between the two seats is the point.
