1. Season opener: Melbourne
The championship still lights the fuse in Australia. Albert Park is the first real look at the new cars in race trim after winter testing: tyre behaviour, active-wing reliability, and which manufacturer story is marketing versus pace.

China (15 March) is the first sprint weekend of the year, then Suzuka (29 March) before the long gap into the Americas. The early triple of Australia-China-Japan is the first proper sample of 2026 form.
3. Americas and Monaco
Miami (3 May, sprint) and Montreal (24 May, sprint) bookend a North American swing before Monaco on 7 June, still the purest prestige race on the calendar even when the cars are brand new.
4. European summer
Barcelona-Catalunya (14 June), Austria (28 June), Silverstone sprint (5 July), Spa (19 July), Hungary (26 July), then Zandvoort's sprint (23 August) and Monza (6 September). Classic venues, new cars: every comparison to prior years needs a technical asterisk.
5. Madrid debut: Spanish Grand Prix
The Spanish Grand Prix moves to the new Madring in Madrid. A brand-new venue in a new-regulations season gives every team the same blank sheet of paper. (Barcelona stays on the calendar earlier as the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix.)

Deep enough into the year that championship maths are serious. Two things make Singapore special: it remains the sport's original street night race, and it hosts the final sprint weekend of 2026, the only sprint that unfolds entirely under floodlights. More track action, more points, a compressed Friday-to-Sunday pressure cooker for everyone in the city.
7. Closing stretch
Austin, Mexico City, São Paulo, Las Vegas, Qatar, then the twilight finale at Yas Marina on 6 December. If the new regulations deliver close racing, the title can still be alive deep into that run.
