Paris Fashion Week is organised by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode and closes the international fashion calendar each season, after New York, London and Milan. The next confirmed edition is menswear Autumn/Winter 2027-28, running 19 to 24 January 2027. The single most important thing to understand is that there is no such thing as the Paris Fashion Week: the FHCM runs four a year, plus two Haute Couture weeks on a separate schedule.
Who goes to Paris Fashion Week?
Buyers, press, stylists and each house's invited guests, with the couture weeks drawing a narrower and more private audience still. As in Milan, attendance at any given show is decided by the house presenting it. Paris carries the largest concentration of major maisons, which makes its guest lists the most closely held of the four cities.
Can you buy tickets to Paris Fashion Week?
There is no public route into shows. Invitations come from individual houses, not from the FHCM and not from any agency reselling access. What a visitor can reach is the city during the week: brand installations, store events, exhibitions timed to the calendar, and the street outside venues. Haute Couture Week is more restricted again, being a client event as much as a press one.
What to know about Paris Fashion Week
Work out which edition you actually mean before booking anything. Menswear in January and June, womenswear in March and September, and Haute Couture in January and July are different weeks with different collections and different audiences, and a trip booked for Paris Fashion Week without specifying which one is a trip booked for the wrong week roughly three times in four. The calendars are provisional and move.
Paris Fashion Week parties and side events
The week runs on a private circuit of house dinners, showroom appointments, gallery collaborations and after-parties across the Marais, Saint-Germain and the 8th. Almost none of it is publicly ticketed and access runs through the brands. Grand Circle organises none of it.
How to get to Paris for Fashion Week
Charles de Gaulle and Orly both connect by RER, train and taxi, with Orly generally quicker for the Left Bank. Venues are scattered across the city and often in buildings not otherwise open, so the Métro plus walking is the practical combination during a week when central traffic is heavy.
Where to stay for Paris Fashion Week
The Marais and Saint-Germain sit closest to the majority of showrooms and venues. The 8th places you near the couture houses and the Grand Palais. All of it prices at a premium during any of the fashion weeks, and the March and September womenswear editions are the tightest for rooms.
